At ActivBrain, we’ve been taking user tips on what kinds of things they do to kick their bad mood or habit. Our biggest submission that we’ve all been testing around the office? Breaking thought patterns by performing your basicĀ daily tasks differently. Here’s some ideas to try:
- Walk the dog on the other side of the road. May not seem like a big deal, but you will see your street in a whole new light which could lead to a whole slew of things for your brain to stay busy thinking about.
2. Try relearning your basis tasks with your non-dominate hand. It will give you something new to think about most the day and keep you mind off of non trivial depressing thoughts. Brush your teeth with your other hand, create a drawing, switch the hands you eat with. All of these practices can help!
